About Me
My path to investing wasn't a straight line. Right after high school, I joined the Marine Corps, and my time in Iraq taught me firsthand about managing risk and staying disciplined under pressure, which I apply to the markets every day.
When I came home, I earned my Economics degree from Baruch College. While my day job was in IT, I spent my free time studying the markets. I wanted to help my friends and family with their financial goals, so I studied for and passed the Series 65 exam to become a licensed financial advisor.
Concurrently, I was also actively trading for myself and several prop firms. After exploring a number of strategies, I found my niche in selling options to generate income, particularly futures options. This motivated me to take the Series 3 and become a licensed Commodity Trading Advisor as well.
But a good strategy on its own wasn't enough. The real turning point came when I started combining my options strategy with a top-down view of the economy. It became clear that knowing what assets to trade based on the current economic environment was just as important as how I traded them. That's the simple idea behind the "economic seasons"—it helps me pick the right playing field.
I started Macro Seasons Advisory for two main reasons. First, to offer a transparent approach where my macro calls and performance are tracked in real-time. Second, to help people understand the relationship between the economy and the markets, moving beyond the idea that stocks just magically go up over the long run.
My specialty is still generating income by writing options, and I'm an open book about my performance. I'm always happy to talk about how we can build a portfolio that makes sense for the current market, regardless of your goals or risk tolerance.
